Goji OG (30.704% THCa) – Premium THCa Flower
Goji OG is a Sativa-leaning THCa flower strain bred by Bodhi Seeds from Nepali OG × Snow Lotus. This hydroponic batch tests at 30.704% THCa with 32.724% total cannabinoids and a 3.17% total terpene profile — a genuinely big terpene number for flower — but the profile is terpinolene and ocimene dominant, not the myrcene-and-limonene OG character this strain is usually reported to carry. That makes it a bright, tropical, piney-floral batch rather than a berry-and-fuel one, and we would rather tell you that up front than sell you the reputation.
Overview
Goji OG is a Sativa-leaning hybrid grown here hydroponically. This batch tests at 30.704% THCa, 27.189% total THC, and 32.724% total cannabinoids, with Δ9-THC at 0.262% and total CBD at a trace 0.033%. The minor cannabinoid fraction is led by CBGa at 1.227% — one of the higher CBGa readings on our menu — with CBCa 0.183%, THCVa 0.180%, CBG 0.056%, CBDa 0.037%, Δ8-THC 0.035% and CBC 0.027%.
Total terpenes come in at 3.17%, and the ranking is unusual: terpinolene 0.74% (23% of the profile), ocimene 0.60% (19%), cis-β-ocimene 0.57% (18%), β-myrcene 0.25%, trans-caryophyllene 0.21%, limonene 0.19%, β-pinene 0.12% and α-pinene 0.10%. Below that: menthol 0.08%, α-phellandrene 0.07%, α-terpinene 0.06%, δ-3-carene 0.06%, α-humulene 0.05%, endo-fenchyl alcohol 0.04% and linalool 0.03%. Terpinolene plus the two ocimenes account for roughly 60% of everything measured.
Worth noting against the reputation. Published Goji OG profiles — Leafly, terpene-blend houses, and the breeder’s own description — all point to myrcene, limonene and caryophyllene, with a berry, black cherry and licorice aroma over classic OG funk. This batch inverts that. Myrcene is fourth, limonene is sixth, and terpinolene — which appears in no credible published Goji OG profile at all — is on top. There is a plausible genetic route for it: Goji OG was released as regular seed with multiple phenotypes per pack, and the Snow Lotus side carries Afgooey, whose own published profile runs myrcene into ocimene. But we are not going to dress this up. What you are buying is a terpinolene-and-ocimene expression of Goji OG, and it smells and tastes like one.

Aroma and Flavor
This batch leads with the terpinolene: bright, fresh, piney-floral with a citrus-rind lift, the note most people recognize from Jack Herer and Dutch Treat rather than from an OG. Behind it, the combined 1.17% of ocimene and cis-β-ocimene brings a sweet, green, tropical-herbaceous layer — think fresh-cut stems and stone fruit. The 0.25% myrcene gives it just enough earthy base to keep it grounded, and the 0.21% trans-caryophyllene adds a faint peppery edge underneath.
On the palate it is clean and bright: pine and citrus peel on the draw, sweet tropical herb through the middle, and a soft floral finish with a light spice on the exhale. The published Goji OG descriptors — black cherry, alpine strawberry, licorice, OG funk — are not what this batch delivers. There is no heavy berry-and-fuel character here because the terpenes that produce it are not present in quantity.
Effects and Usage
Goji OG is classified Sativa-leaning across most sources. SeedFinder puts the effect split at roughly 75% head to 25% body; AllBud calls it 80/20 sativa-dominant; Leafly describes it as mostly energizing; Weedmaps stays neutral at “hybrid.” Nobody calls it indica-dominant. Commonly reported effects are euphoric, creative, talkative and uplifting, with users citing it for stress and low mood, and it is generally described as clear rather than racy.
This batch’s chemistry backs the sativa placement harder than the published profile does. Terpinolene-dominant chemotypes are conventionally associated with bright, alert, heady presentations, and with myrcene at only 0.25% there is very little sedating ballast here. Expect an energetic, clear-headed onset with a mild body ease behind it. Best for daytime and early evening, creative work, being social, and anything you want to stay sharp for. At 30.704% THCa, start small if you are not used to this potency band.
Strain Background
Goji OG was bred by Bodhi Seeds, and attribution is not in dispute — SeedFinder, Leafly, Weedmaps, AllBud and Bodhi’s authorized retailers all agree. The cross is Nepali OG (mother) × Snow Lotus (father), released as regular seed only. Bodhi never made a feminized version, which is worth knowing: feminized “Goji OG” sold by various seedbanks is a third-party reproduction, not the original line.
Genetics, one generation back. Snow Lotus is Bodhi’s own Afgooey × Blockhead — Afgooey being Afghani #1 × Maui Haze, and Blockhead being a Pakistani P19 landrace × Sweet Tooth. Nepali OG is the interesting one: its lineage is genuinely unknown. SeedFinder files it under “Unknown or Legendary” and describes it only as an old OG from Grass Valley, California that most resembles the Tahoe cut. Despite the name, no source connects it to Nepalese landrace genetics, and the long-running forum theory that Nepali OG and Tahoe OG are the same clone remains speculation. We are not going to state it as fact.
The name refers to the aroma Bodhi described — red berries, black cherry, licorice, alpine strawberry — not to any goji berry content.
On awards, the honest version. You will see Goji OG listed as a Cannabis Cup winner. What actually happened is that at the 2013 High Times Medical Cannabis Cup in Seattle, VFL Collective took 1st place in Concentrates and 3rd place in Hash with extracts made from Goji OG. Those are concentrate awards won by an extractor. Goji OG has no flower-category cup win in any year, and Bodhi Seeds did not enter. Separately, Bodhi Seeds was inducted into the 2017 High Times Seed Bank Hall of Fame — an honor to the breeder, not to this strain. We are not calling this flower award-winning.
Do not confuse with: Goji Berry (a phenotype selection, listed separately), Grape Goji OG (Forbidden Genetics, a different cross entirely), Goji Razz (Green Bodhi), and Goji Gorilla. Also note that Green Bodhi and Bodhi Seeds are unrelated breeders despite the similar names, and Green Bodhi lists its own separate “Goji OG.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Goji OG Indica or Sativa?
Goji OG is Sativa-leaning. SeedFinder calls it mostly sativa with a 75% head effect, AllBud lists it at 80% sativa, and Leafly describes it as mostly energizing. Weedmaps classifies it simply as a hybrid. No source calls it indica-dominant.
What does this Goji OG batch taste like?
Bright pine and citrus peel up front from 0.74% terpinolene, sweet tropical and green-herbal through the middle from a combined 1.17% ocimene, and a soft floral finish with light pepper. It does not present the berry, black cherry and licorice character Goji OG is known for — the terpenes behind those notes are minor in this batch.
What is the dominant terpene in this Goji OG batch?
Terpinolene at 0.74%, about 23% of the 3.17% total. Ocimene at 0.60% and cis-β-ocimene at 0.57% follow closely, so terpinolene and ocimene together make up roughly 60% of the profile.
Why does this batch not match published Goji OG terpene profiles?
Published profiles report myrcene, limonene and caryophyllene as the dominant terpenes. This batch runs terpinolene and ocimene instead. Goji OG was released as regular seed with multiple phenotypes per pack, and its Snow Lotus parent carries Afgooey, which is itself reported ocimene-forward — so a bright, terpinolene-leaning expression is genetically plausible. Either way, the COA is what we sell on.
What are the parents of Goji OG?
Nepali OG × Snow Lotus, bred by Bodhi Seeds. Snow Lotus is Afgooey × Blockhead. Nepali OG’s own lineage is undocumented — SeedFinder lists it as an unknown-origin OG from Grass Valley, California.
Has Goji OG won any awards?
Not as flower. Extracts made from Goji OG won 1st in Concentrates and 3rd in Hash at the 2013 High Times Medical Cannabis Cup in Seattle, entered by VFL Collective. Those awards belong to the extractor, and there is no flower-category win for this strain.
How potent is this batch?
30.704% THCa with 32.724% total cannabinoids and 3.17% total terpenes.
Storage Instructions
Store Goji OG in an airtight container in a cool, dark, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Terpinolene and ocimene are both volatile and are doing about 60% of the work in this batch, so warmth and light cost you the bright pine-and-tropical front faster here than on a myrcene-heavy flower. Keep it sealed and cool.
